So hard to believe a mount skins goes for roughly $14 to $20 when say an outfit goes for $8.75. For me my sweet spot must buy is probably $5 - $10. So for me buying things like bag space, bank slots and character expansions seem in the easier to justify. I know there is at least 1 random mount skin box for 400 gems.

In my opinion, the fastest way of making gold with very little effort is TP flipping given that you know your stuff. From personal experience, I've made about 2k gold in a month from playing the TP with only 2-3 hours of game time per week. However, doing a combination of all of the methods mentioned above will yield a decent amount of gold.

Profit = gold you take in (tp posting price minus listing fee minus gw2 tax on sale) - crafting cost (includes mats, precursor, etc). My record is 130 gold per hour, but that was a lucky sale. 80 is easy. And i'm not even a total master at these hearts, or at running precise routes for best times on a map.
Hoarders most likely dropped thousands if not tens of thousands of coins as soon as the price started dropping to make as much profit as possible. The price has already appeared to stabilize at around 1.1/1.2g. Might get lower as more people do strikes. Hard to know. I'm sure it will get a bit lower.
