They don’t like to be pushed. Don’t push them. They just want to be liberated. Classical is a genre that can quickly become overpowering and fairly fatiguing. It tends to go from quiet to loud very fast. The KSC75 handles these fluctuations with relative ease because it doesn’t highlight any particular frequency.
A bit farther than I'd go, but the Porta Pro and the KSC75 (which I prefer) are vital to keep you grounded in this hobby. They're so fucking good for so cheap. As for better headphones, there are plenty that are better and more enjoyable but I think the HD650 seems to be the ultimate successor to the Porta Pro in my mind. DT 880 for the KSC75.

Just replacing the cable is a quite simple matter of just popping the housings off the headband, taking the plastic covers off, desoldering the stock cable and soldering in a new one. Could be a totally DIY cable, a semi-finished one, or a complete IEM cable from which you simply cut off the connectors. The last mentioned option could be tricky
I think in this price range you can expect 4 times better if 4 times the price. Anyway my DT990 actually feel more than 4 times better than my Porta Pros. Totally different league. BileToothh • 3 yr. ago. Going from the porta pros and AKG K550 mk2 to the HD58X easily blew me away.
1.4K. 152. r/headphones • 28 days ago. The DAC/amp/EQ board that I designed for my open-source headphones project is almost ready. It runs 48kHz, 16-bit audio depth, and 6-band EQ. More details in the comments. 1 / 5. Here's the amplifier board. It has a DAC, amplifier, and EQ, all built-in.
I also think JBL studio 180's with the top cover off some of the best looking speakers around, also thought to be ugly by some. I think Bowers and Wilkins Nautilus speakers are the ugliest speakers I've ever seen for comparison. I'm definitely going to consider picking up the black and gold version.
Treble is very natural and very detailed without being fatiguing. The soundstage is pretty average, not very wide. The Koss KSC75 are the best headphones under $100 in terms of sound quality. They even compete with headphones way above their price bracket and even beats a lot of them in terms of sound.
It really depends on what you'd prefer if you'd want something in your ears or on your ears if you were thinking of going Koss. I own all the koss products that tend to get mentioned a lot. (Porta Pro, KSC75, KPH30i, KPH40 with yaxi pads and other mods). I would say the Koss KSC75 is more enjoyable to me, because I don't really care for bass

regarding the TWS250I, I recommend them a lot, their sound signature is very similar to that of the KSC75 ones, if I had to point somewhere in a ranking, I'd say they're in between of the porta pros and KSc75 in terms of sound quality, I usually prefer the sound of the TWS250I a lot more than the porta pro's as the TWS one sound much clearer to me, less dark than the porta pros, while keeping
Today I spent some time making a bunch of measurements of my (too) large collection of Koss 60 ohm headphones, including Porta Pro, KSC75, KPH30i, UR40 frankenphone, and the CL-10. Having done my fair share of pad, driver, and headband swaps with these headphones, it was interesting to see measurements back up anecdotal impressions.
